Team Jackets

We are placing orders for Team Jackets again.

BEFORE March 16th so we can have them for the Utah State Championship.

The Utah State Championship will be held on March 31st, in Saratoga Springs.

Please remember to register for the Utah Tournament before March 11th to take advantage of early registration fees. (Click Here to Register for the Tournament)

If you have not submitted your March tuition,

please do so as soon as possible to avoid late tuition charges.

School Uniforms

Congratulations to all participants in the U.S. Open!!

Everyone did an outstanding job and learned a great deal from competing!

In order to grow more cohesive and show school pride, we would like to encourage all students to purchase a school uniform with the "Pace Academy" logo.

If you are still sportin' an older uniform with another school logo and wish to purchase a new one, please send your uniform request with desired size to paceacademytkd@gmail.com

Uniforms will be ordered and returned by our next tournament,

the Utah State Championship, on March 31st.

Please register as soon as possible for this event.

We are also in the process of designing a competition uniform for students who are on the Competition Team. More information will be given at a later date.

February Belt Promotion

Our next belt promotion is Saturday, February 18th at 9:00 AM. Remember to bring full sparring gear, to wear a clean uniform, and to eat a balanced breakfast for this test.

The pretest will be held in class on Wednesday, February 8th.

Tiny Tigers will be testing for their promotion on Thursday, February 16th during regular class time. Parents are invited to attend.

New Noon Classes and Yoga Classes!

Yoga is being taught at the dojang on Sundays from 11:00-12:30.

Yoga is of a great benefit to taekwondo students as it increases core strength and overall flexibility.

We also now offer a 12:00 pm lunch-time class on Tuesdays and Thursdays!

Drop by during your lunch hour and get your taekwondo training done during the day!

New School Building and Labor Day

P.A.T. We will be in our new location, 3341 South 275 East, starting Monday, August 29th for all classes. Classes will remain the same as previously scheduled until you receive further notice.

Our school will be closed in observance of the Labor Day Holiday from Friday, September 2nd-Monday, September 5th.
Get rested up so you can be ready for competition training in preparation for the Las Vegas Open in October!

Belt Promotion and Other News

Our next Belt Promotion Test is now scheduled for Saturday, September 17th. It is important to attend classes regularly in preparation for your advancement.

The Las Vegas Open is coming up October 8th, 9th, and 10th. Make your plans and get registered online early to avoid late registration charges!

School T-shirts are still available and we now have a few youth sizes coming. Please support our school and wear your T-shirts for training and for casual wear. Buy several and make them a part of your wardrobe while helping us to buy electronic hogous!

Las Vegas Open & Last Bash!

Dear Pace Academy Students and Parents,

It is tournament time, and time to start thinking of the upcoming competitions! The Las Vegas Open will be October 8th, 9th, and 10th. Make plans to attend, and get registered online early to avoid late charges.

Don't forget the "Last Summer Bash" at John and Mattie Ford's home. The Summer BBQ will be this Saturday August 13th, at 6:30 at their home 2471 Imperial Street (1650 East). Come and join our TKD family and get your party on! Please RSVP to Mattie: 801-244-4120

Our school continues to grow and improve and we will soon be housed at our new locations just west of the present dojang. Plans are in the making for a Grand Opening to celebrate the new school. More information will be sent in the next few weeks regarding this event.

Fight Summer Boredom~Come To Our Summer Camp!

Summer camp at Pace Academy Taekwondo is a great way to keep your children entertained, active, and moving ahead in their martial arts training.

Camps are open to non-students as well, so spread the word!

We have planned a summertime full of exciting martial arts techniques. Attending summer camp is a great way for students to keep their skills fresh and even advance in their training.

The emphasis is on fun and activity, as well as discipline, with lots of games and drills to keep the students moving.

Summer Camp Schedule

June 6- June 24 10:00 am - 6:30 pm

10:00-11:30 Cardio Training

11:30-1:00 Lunch and Activity

1:00-2:30 Technical Component

2:30-3:00 Break/Snack

3:00-4:00 Sparring

4:00-4:30 Break/Snack

4:30-6:00 Class time (Forms or Class)

Snacks and drinks will be provided by the dojang. All students must bring their own lunch.

Attire: Dobok, shorts, shirts, running shoes, all sparring gear.

Parents: We will be looking for parents to volunteer some time to this as well.We will be looking for drivers for activities that we may do outside of the dojang.

On June 25th, we will have our Good Luck BBQ

Registration for Camp and fees must be received by May 27th in order for us to properly staff the session. The fee will be $225. P.A.T. Jackets are also available for $35.

Any new student must have a Parent or Legal Guardian sign a release form.

Call Master Pace or come in to the Dojang to register....remember the deadline is May 27th!

It has been a great year and we hope to get bigger and better.

The Academy has many new faces, and some are back to where they started. This means that we have more people to learn from, and push us in our efforts to get better.

Welcome, Vo's Taekwondo!

This has been a change for us all, but we wish Master Sheffer luck in his new endeavor and will continue to train in the tradition that we all have been fortunate to learn from him.

We are going to have 4 students represent Pace Academy in the team competition. Andres, Simone, Brandon and David. Along with bragging rights, they will have a chance to win a trip to Korea! They are looking for companies that will sponsor their team. If any one knows of a company that would like to support and have their company logo represented on the dobok, contact Master Pace.

Memorial Day Weekend: School Closed May 28th through May 30th

Utah Summer Games: June 18th. This is a very fun tournament and we encourage all to participate in this event. This is $35 for two events if you register before June 1st, $45 after. The registration is now open (click here) so please get signed up. This is a great tune up for Nationals!

USAT Nationals: June 27th-July 3rd. Master Pace needs to know all that are going to Nationals as soon as possible. We will have a nationals summer camp in June to get everyone prepared for this event. There will be a fee for this, so your information is needed to order T-shirts and supplies.

Tuition: Please have all tuition paid by the 5th of every month, unless arrangements have been made. We do have a credit card machine and an automatic billing company to make this easy and convenient for all.

Utah State Tournament 2011

Hello Everyone,

It is that time again for Pace Academy to go and show everyone what we are made of. It is the Annual State Tournament. We are hoping for the largest participation that we have ever had as a school. I hope all of you see this as an opportunity to learn from this experience, and gain a better understanding of the Tournament side of Taekwondo.

How to register:
1- Click here to create your Member ID with USAT $35 (valid for 1 year)
2- Once you become a member you can then register for the event
3- Go to event section and locate the Utah State qualifier

*you can sort by event date or location,

click through the pages until you find Saratoga Springs on March 19th*

4- At this point it will walk you through the sign up process
5- If possible, all students will sign up for 2 events: Poomsae (forms) and sparring.

If you have any questions or need help registering for this event, please talk with Coach D. or Master Pace, and we will help you.
